Webserver/Browser Tools
This is part of my web collection of information.
Assorted tools for the purpose of viewing information about your browser or about the webserver you are connecting to.
Here are the Webserver/Browser Tools
- View the Request Headers Your Browser Sends To The Webserver
This tool allows you to see the information or "headers" that your web-browser sends to a server when it requests a webpage. This is interesting information. One thing you can see from viewing these headers, is if your browser supports gzip or some other form of compression, saving you time and bandwidth.
- View the Response Headers The Webserver Sends to Your Browser
This tool allows you to see the server's answer to the page request. You will normally be able to see what software the server is running and a load of other interesting (for some of us) information :).
- 216 Web-safe RGB Colors
This is not really a Server/Browser tool so-to-speak, it is a reference of the 216 colors and their hex representations that are guaranteed to be supported by the main browsers. Make your webpages cross-browser compliant by sticking to these colors.
